Your Way Forward For DV Clearance Appeals
When DV clearance is refused or withdrawn after every internal stage, you are left with a decision that ends a trusted role but rarely explains why. Careers stall, postings are lost and doubts linger that you cannot answer. The SVAP appeal is the last independent chance to test that decision. At Legisia Legal Services, we focus on SVAP work only, unpacking the security case, exposing unfairness or error and presenting a structured challenge with a realistic prospect of restoring your position.

How We Approach DV Appeals
DV refusals are rarely about one issue. We break down the decision, test each risk factor against Cabinet Office policy and SVAP guidance, and show why DV can safely be restored.
- 1. Refusal or Withdrawal After Review
We obtain the vetting outcome, examine stated concerns against DV policy, and show where risk has been overstated or evidence has been read unfairly. - 2. Historic Conduct Treated as Current Risk
We address old debt, past substance use or youthful behaviour with evidence of change, stability and supervision, reframing the real level of present-day risk. - 3. Concerns About Relationships or Contacts
We explain personal, family and overseas links in context, supply corroboration, and show why influence or susceptibility risks are lower than suggested. - 4. Alleged Honesty or Disclosure Issues
We review the vetting form, interview record and HR history, distinguish error from intent, and provide evidence that you remain a reliable and candid officer. - 5. Impact on Role and Department
We set out the operational cost of losing your DV, obtain management support where possible, and show SVAP why a proportionate outcome keeps you in post.
