Your Local Police Record Holding You Back?
Even when your PNC record is clean, police systems may still keep “locally held data” and entries on the Police National Database (PND): notes, allegations, intel logs or “soft” information, details that can quietly reappear during Enhanced DBS checks, police vetting or national security clearances.
These records are often incomplete, misleading, or based on untested claims. It’s not the incident in isolation that damages you, it’s the way it is stored, interpreted and repeatedly disclosed.
At Legisia, we focus on this locally held data, identifying exactly what’s recorded, challenging weak or outdated justifications, and applying for deletion where retention is unfair, disproportionate or simply wrong.
If your concern is with national systems rather than local force-held data, read our guide on deletion of records from national police systems.

Our Legal Approach
Our locally held data service focuses on what local police systems hold about you, why it keeps surfacing on checks, and where we can push for that record to be deleted.
- Getting the Full Picture
We apply for your local and PND records, challenge heavy redaction and map every entry that could affect DBS checks, police vetting or security clearances. - Testing the Record in Law
We test each line against APP and NPCC guidance, the Data Protection Act and human rights standards, identifying entries that are inaccurate, excessive or outdated. - Building a Deletion Case
We gather outcomes, context and impact evidence, then argue that retention is no longer necessary or proportionate for any genuine policing purpose. - Targeting DBS and Vetting Risk
We focus on entries most likely to be disclosed on Enhanced DBS or vetting, so the strongest arguments address what is actually blocking your career. - Clear Advice and Fixed Fees
You get frank advice on prospects before you commit. Where deletion is realistic, we act on a fixed-fee basis so cost and scope are clear from the start.
Safeguard your future with trusted legal solutions
We pride ourselves on being approachable, responsive, and deeply invested in our clients’ success. Our mission is simple to: to protect your rights, provide clarity in difficult times, and help you move forward with confidence.

Record Removal Solicitors
Record
Removal
When locally held data appears on your DBS or vetting outcome, the damage isn’t from a conviction, it’s from information you were never shown, never challenged, and never given the chance to correct.
At Legisia, we specialise in challenging and removing locally held data that no longer serves a lawful policing purpose. Most forces struggle to defend these entries once each line is examined properly, so we test every justification against necessity, proportionality and accuracy.
We obtain your full local record, test it against APP and NPCC guidance, and assess where retention is unlawful or disproportionate. Before acting, we tell you honestly whether the entry is defensible or vulnerable, and only proceed where deletion is a realistic outcome based on the evidence and the law.
